July 18th, 2022 - 10am
Orange Luxembourg is intensifying its relationship with Orange Cyberdefense, the group's subsidiary dedicated to cyber security. To this end, the operator is developing new offers adapted to each organization, whether it is an SME or a large company, to address the risks.
All organizations, regardless of their size, are concerned by cyber threats today. Cybersecurity issues are among the top concerns of all business leaders, who are increasingly aware of their dependence on digital services and the availability of their IT data. "Today, players are interconnected. The proper functioning of the business relies on IT solutions. Communication tools such as e-mail, telephony and videoconferencing depend on IT services. Access to data is essential to maintain operations, summarizes Stéphane L'Hermitte, Expert from Orange Cyberdefense. In the current context, faced with an upsurge in computer attacks, organizations must ensure that they are better protected, by relying on services that are adapted to their challenges and identified risks".
International expertise
In order to help Luxembourg players better understand the threats and protect themselves, Orange Luxembourg is announcing an intensification of its partnership with Orange Cyberdefense, the group's subsidiary dedicated to cyber security. "Our aim is to respond to our customers' concerns in this area, by giving them the benefit of international expertise, explains Jean-sébastien Berneyron, Head of BtoB Sales at Orange Luxembourg. Orange Cyberdefense and its 2500 cybersecurity experts, working with organizations around the world, can provide in-depth knowledge of vulnerabilities and threats to better identify risks, protect systems and data, and identify and respond to attacks".
Better identification of risks and threats
As Stéphane L'Hermitte explains, protecting oneself well requires first and foremost taking into consideration the risks and threats inherent to each organization. "Today, attacks are multiplying and manifest themselves in various forms. For the past few years, attackers have most often resorted to ransomware, malicious programs that infect systems in order to encrypt your data and paralyze your business. While many hospitals have been victims of such attacks, no company is spared from such malicious acts, explains the cybersecurity expert. More recently, in a context of high geopolitical tensions, we have seen an increase in attacks aimed at destroying data, without a ransom being demanded. Theft of personal data, which is very damaging to the company, which is forced to ensure protection, is also a major risk."
Cutting-edge tools
Orange Cyberdefense, in partnership with Orange Luxembourg, intends to strengthen Luxembourg's cybersecurity ecosystem by providing its international expertise and cutting-edge tools to support players, improve the detection of attacks and the responses to be provided in the event of a breach. "Our Micro-soc and Endpoint Detection & Response solutions, through traffic monitoring of mobile terminals and workstations and analysis of incoming and outgoing elements in the office environment, considerably strengthen the protection of our customers, says Stéphane L'Hermitte. Based on the analysis conducted in our 26 detection centers in 13 countries around the world, we are able to effectively identify malicious files and prevent any intrusion attempts within systems across organizations. Every day, Orange Cyberdefense discovers and shuts down approximately 200 malicious sites."
Improving security at the national level
Based on the expertise of Orange Cyberdefense, Orange Luxembourg is developing connectivity offers that integrate such solutions.
By supporting its international customers with a local presence, the Orange Group is also helping to guarantee them the highest level of protection.
