Press Release
Press Release

Luxembourg, March 8th 2021

On the occasion of the International Women's Rights Day, Orange Luxembourg announces its partnership with the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs (FFCEL). The telecom operator wishes to support women leaders and continue its commitment to gender equality in the professional world.

The Orange Group has made professional equality between women and men one of its strategic priorities. For several years now, it has been involved in numerous actions in order to make progress. To continue along this path, Orange Luxembourg has chosen to become a partner of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs (FFCEL).

Encouraging and supporting women entrepreneurs and leaders of influence

Barbara Fangille, Head of Communication - Orange Luxembourg

"This partnership is part of our commitment to parity. We are indeed convinced that gender equality is a guarantee of equity and economic performance."

Aurélia Feltz, Chairwoman - FFCEL

"This sponsorship is very important for our ASBL. It allows us to offer enriching, varied and quality activities and events to our members. Thanks to this support, we can also continue to expand and publicise our networking activities for women entrepreneurs and women of influence"

In addition, the women managers of Orange Luxembourg participate in the various actions set up by the FFCEL in order to share, with the other members of the ASBL, their experiences and good practices to increase their business and their circle of influence.

A commitment that is regularly underlined

Orange Luxembourg's desire to build a humane, responsible company committed to gender equality, particularly in technical professions, has been recognised on several occasions.

After having obtained the international GEEIS "Gender Equality European & International Standard" certification as well as the "Positive Actions" label from the Ministry of Gender Equality last year, Orange Luxembourg was elected "Top Employer" for the sixth consecutive time by the Top Employers Institute.

About the FFCEL

Created in 2004 on the initiative of the Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises (UEL) and the Ministry of Equal Opportunities, the FFCEL is a non-profit organisation that aims to strengthen the impact and influence of women in the business world by promoting female entrepreneurship.

To this end, the FFCEL helps women to expand their network of professionals/decision-makers, ideas, experience and talent, in Luxembourg and abroad. It also promotes the importance of the role of women in entrepreneurship and encourages their accession to leadership positions in the various sectors of the economy.
