Three Luxembourgish start-ups in the Orange Fab final

Vizz, Virtual Rangers, and Urban Time Travel will represent Luxembourg's innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem during the final selection phase of Orange Fab. For its fifth edition, Orange Belgium and Luxembourg's support program for young innovative companies, wanted to explore the possibilities offered by virtual and augmented reality as well as those related to the emergence of metaverses.
The pre-selection phase of Orange Fab, the support program for young innovative companies of Orange Belgium and Luxembourg, has selected 6 promising start-ups. They will have the opportunity on June 1st to introduce themselves and try to convince a professional jury from the innovation world.
The winning start-up of this selection process will have the opportunity to work with Orange teams to implement a concept that will address the group's customers.
This fifth season of Orange Fab aims to highlight innovative companies that, through their technological approach, contribute to improve the customer experience or creating new ones. The program will focus on start-ups exploring the possibilities offered by virtual reality, augmented reality and metavers, thanks in particular to the advantages offered by the 5G network.
Three Luxembourg start-ups selected
Among the shortlisted candidates, there are three Luxembourg start-ups.
VIZZ employs four people in Luxembourg, tries out all the technologies and concepts that make up the future metaverses: virtual reality, augmented reality, digital twin, NFT, Web 3.0.
Urban Time Travel employs 5 people in Luxembourg. This start-up uses virtual reality technologies aboard a moving vehicle, relying in particular on location sensors, to offer an immersive experience of history.
Virtual Rangers is a virtual reality creation studio, composed of a team of 8 people, bringing an immersive vision to training, marketing and culture.
A Luxembourgish desire to explore new trends

"The quality of the applications received and the ideas put forward by the entrepreneurs reveal the existence of an incredible dynamic in the field of innovation in Luxembourg. We are happy to see that many players are now exploring these emerging trends, around virtual and augmented reality or metaverses, to offer new experiences to end users. It's very exciting."
The other three selected startups are from Belgium. They are Poolpio, Nirli and WithVR.
Start-ups as a vehicle for innovation
On June 1, the jury will have the task of determining the winner of this fifth edition of Orange Fab. It will be made up of eight people, professionals who are informed observers of technological developments and the world of innovation, both inside and outside the Orange Group.
For several years now, Orange has been supporting the start-up ecosystem in an innovation approach. Through Orange Fab, the Group aims to work with innovative players who are essential drivers of the digital transformation of organizations. By developing partnerships with Luxembourg start-ups, as it did with EmailTree AI last year, the operator deploys new solutions, thus contributing to accompany its customers in the digital turn.
