1. Switch off your phone immediately and remove all components that can be removed (SIM card, memory card, battery). Fewer wet components reduce the risk of damage, as well as allowing for better drying.

2. Gently dab your phone with a towel or paper towel. You can also use a crumb tray or small hoover to soak up as much water as possible.

3. There are mixed reviews on this, but we recommend putting your phone in a container of uncooked rice for a few days to gently absorb all the water. And to make sure all the moisture is gone, you can use the silica gel packets that you may find in new shoes or clothes.

4. Leave your phone in a place that allows good air flow to help evaporate any water left inside.
