How do I schedule and restrict my Wi-Fi?
The My Livebox Fiber application offers features to efficiently manage your Internet and Wi-Fi connection.
Internet Pause:
A convenient feature called "Internet Pause" allows you to instantly interrupt internet access for devices connected to your Livebox. This option completely disables internet access (both Wi-Fi and Ethernet) for selected devices. Here's how to set up an Internet pause via the My Livebox Fiber application:
- Open the My Livebox Fiber application on your smartphone or tablet connected to your Livebox Wi-Fi network.
- Go to the "My Home" category from the homepage. By default, it indicates that no internet pause is active. Tap the "START" button.
- A window will appear, tap "SET UP".
- Select the devices for which you want to activate the "Internet Pause" and click "SAVE" at the top right of the screen.
- Confirm the activation of the "Internet Pause" by tapping "START".
- You will then see an indication of the "Internet Pause" on the home screen, under the "My Home" category.
Internet Access Scheduling:
The Wi-Fi scheduling feature allows you to set the times for Wi-Fi activation and deactivation on your Livebox. This action will disconnect all devices connected via Wi-Fi to the Livebox, while those connected via Ethernet will remain active. You can also schedule these periods for specific devices. Here's how to do it via the My Livebox Fiber application:
- Launch the My Livebox Fiber application on your smartphone or tablet connected to your Livebox Wi-Fi network.
- Go to the "Wi-Fi Settings" category from the homepage. By default, Wi-Fi is permanently enabled. Tap "SCHEDULE".
- Check the "Schedule Wi-Fi" box to configure the time slots for interruptions. Then click on "Schedule your Wi-Fi interruptions for the week".
- You can now add or remove time slots by swiping on the screen or using the "+" button to add multiple interruptions.
- Select the desired times and days for Wi-Fi interruptions, then tap "✓" to confirm.
- The changes will be displayed on the scheduling screen. Confirm by tapping "✓".
- On the home screen, a mention of your next internet interruption will be displayed under the "Wi-Fi Settings" category.
Internet Access Restriction:
The application also allows you to restrict internet access to certain devices during specified periods, for example, those used by your children. Here's how to set up internet access restriction via the My Livebox Fiber application:
- Open the My Livebox Fiber application on your smartphone or tablet connected to your Livebox Wi-Fi network.
- Go to the "My Home" category from the homepage, then tap "MY DEVICES".
- Select the device for which you want to apply internet restriction.
- By default, the device has permanent internet access. Tap "Permanent authorization".
- You can then configure the restriction by permanently disabling internet access or by defining specific time slots.
- Configure the time slots as described above.
- Confirm your settings by tapping "✓".
- An icon representing the internet restriction will be displayed next to the relevant device in the list of devices.
- To check the status of your network, go to the "My Wi-Fi" category from the homepage. A visual representation of your network is displayed, including any ongoing restrictions or pauses.
